Truly, I became disgusted with the food industry—additives in food, how much food is processed, and overpriced. I never knew I could make some of these items (English muffins, tortillas, bagels, breads, pastas, sub rolls) at home with simple ingredients.
My cooking journey began in 2021, when I signed up for a meal delivery subscription, HelloFresh while finishing my undergrad degree. Through that, I learned how to read recipes, follow directions, and build basic cooking skills. The kitchen intimidated me and this was a perfect way to ease into it.
I now prepare nearly everything from scratch, creating beautiful meals for us for us to enjoy. I have so much fun and have made it a weekly date with myself, to sit down with a cup of coffee and plan out our dinners and grocery list for the week. I find that “romanticizing” what I’m going to eat and said “planning”, it makes it a little easier. More on that later.
From one self-learned cook to the next, I’m really excited to share my favorite recipes, kitchen experiments, grocery store adventures, and a little bit of love through food.
From dinner recipes, to delicious baked goods and breads, and pantry staples let’s have some fun.
